Jelly Palm

Scientific name: Butia capitata

AKA: Pindo Palm

Appearance: The feather shaped leaves on the jelly palm tree are lighter green in color then most palms and arch inwards towards its thick trunk. A Pindo Palm's mature height is around 20 feet.

Fruit: The Jelly Palm produces small, round, fleshy orange fruits, but very bland in flavor. The fruits, if used, are generally used to make jelly.

Growing: Pindo Palms are slow growers and can live in partial shade to full sun. They have a high tolerance to drought and salt. Easy maintenance.
